CMEC Safety Program

CMEC Incorporated has developed what has come to be recognized both regionally and nationally as an outstanding safety and health program for our personnel, resulting in an outstanding safety record.

At CMEC safety of all employees and subcontractors is our number one goal. Our workforce is trained continually in safety rules and procedures to ensure that all work is conducted in a safe efficient manner.

CMEC is among the few General Contractors who continue to maintain a low Experience Modification Rating. Our labor force is 100% drug tested upon initial hire as well as random screening throughout their employement. Employees are rewarded for their safety efforts through jobsite safety recongnition programs.

The CMEC General Safety Program Includes:

• Extensive new hire training process and 60-day reorientation.
• OSHA 300 Training
• Partnering with subcontractors through phased safety process for a safe and productive site.
• Involving employee families with the safety program through child safety awareness and by promoting overall health and wellness (stress reduction, exercise and nutrition).
• Safety recognition program — in which employees earn points toward the “purchase” of recreational and household family gifts.
• Safe Employee of the Year — elected annually by peers.
• Modified duty/early return to work.
